There have been questions swirling about what the Las Vegas Raiders are going to do with their star wide receiver Davante Adams this season, and it’s becoming more and more possible that they end up trading him.

At the moment, the Raiders’ roster is not set up for much success in 2024, with Gardner Minshew under center as the starting quarterback and a depth chart that is wrought with holes. That doesn’t provide a great platform for one of the most talented veteran pass-catchers in the league to succeed.

So will the Raiders choose to ship Adams away and recoup some draft capital in his place? It may be the smart thing to do, but they ultimately have to decide for themselves that they want to go that way.

If they do make that decision, NFL reporter Connor Hughes thinks that there’s one team that would happily trade for him in an instant.

An Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams reunion could be in the cards with the New York Jets.

“The minute that the #Raiders are willing to trade him, I believe he’ll be a Jet,” Hughes said.

The deal is unlikely to get done before the start of the season in September, but should the Raiders have the year that many expect them to, struggling to find many wins in the AFC West, don’t be surprised if the calls get louder to ship Adams away.

The trade deadline on November 5 is a more likely time for the deal to get done, giving Adams half of the season to get back in tune with his old Green Bay quarterback and set up the Jets on a potential Super Bowl run this season.
