Former UNC Basketball Star Pete Nance Re-Signs with Milwaukee Bucks

Pete Nance, a former standout forward for the University of North Carolina Tar Heels, has re-signed with the Milwaukee Bucks on a one-year contract. The 25-year-old, who spent part of the previous season with the Philadelphia 76ers, is returning to Milwaukee after a stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Nance’s Professional Journey

After going undrafted, Nance began his professional career with the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he appeared in eight games during his rookie season. He later joined the Philadelphia 76ers on a two-way contract, playing in seven games and averaging 2.1 points and 1.4 rebounds per game. Following his release, Nance continued to showcase his skills with the Cleveland Charge in the G League, leading to his current signing with the Bucks.

During his time at UNC, Nance averaged 9.6 points and 6.5 rebounds per game in his senior year. His versatility and consistency on the court earned him All-ACC honors and solidified his status as a key player for the Tar Heels.
