Although his playing time has been limited due to injuries, he is eager to contribute to the Longhorns’ success. Rogers expressed his excitement about joining Texas, stating, “Playing at the University of Texas is a dream come true.”
Defensive Line: Travis Shaw (North Carolina)
Texas added a formidable presence to its defensive line with the acquisition of Travis Shaw, a 6’5.5″, 330-pound defensive tackle from North Carolina. A former five-star recruit, Shaw recorded 26 tackles in his junior season, showcasing his potential. His size and strength are expected to bolster the Longhorns’ defensive front.
Wide Receiver: Emmett Mosley (Stanford)
To enhance their receiving corps, the Longhorns secured Emmett Mosley, a 6’2″, 205-pound wide receiver from Stanford. In his freshman season, Mosley recorded 48 receptions for 525 yards and six touchdowns. His performance included a standout game against Louisville, where he caught three touchdown passes.
Tight End: Jack Endries (California)
Texas addressed its tight end position by adding Jack Endries, a 6’4″, 240-pound tight end from California. Endries demonstrated consistency and reliability during his time at Cal, leading the team with 56 receptions for 623 yards and two touchdowns in his sophomore season. His experience and hands are expected to be valuable assets to the Longhorns’ offense.
Punter: Jack Bouwmeester (Utah)
The Longhorns also strengthened their special teams unit by signing Jack Bouwmeester, a 6’3″, 197-pound punter from Utah. Bouwmeester earned All-Big 12 Second Team honors in 2024, averaging 44.8 yards per punt. His ability to consistently flip field position will be crucial for Texas in the upcoming season.
