George Kittle has been an integral part of the San Francisco 49ers’ offense over the past several years. The same has been the case this season, with the two-time All-Pro tight end already racking up 15 receptions in three games played this term for 161 yards and two touchdowns.
Things have been far from perfect for the Niners this season, though, as they enter their Week 5 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals with a 2-2 record. San Francisco has some high hopes this term, and their up-and-down start doesn’t exactly scream Super Bowl champions.
This is exactly what Fox Sports reporter Erin Andrews pointed out in a recent interview with Kittle. The renowned sportscaster did not shy away from asking Kittle the tough questions, including whether or not he’s shocked by the way the 49ers haven’t been able to live up to the major expectations a lot people have on them thus far.
“Shock, no, because NFL’s hard,” Kittle said in the interview that Andrews posted on Instagram on Sunday. “It’s hard to win football games. There’s definitely pressure to succeed. You always feel that.
“Yeah, stuff happens. While that’s not our expectation and we’re not happy with the 2-2 record, our only goal is we want to be better in October than we were in September. So let’s just focus on October.”
The fans loved Kittle’s response and the positive attitude he carries amid the Niners’ rather slow start. The supporters on Instagram were all also saying the same thing about Andrews’ Instagram post.
“Great interview. I love listening to someone who loves their job, attacks it with humor and spreads that feeling around,” said a comment.
“The INTV everyone needs @erinandrews 🔥🔥” reacted a fan.
“This is so well done Erin!!! Life long 49er fan – love Kittle!!!” expressed another.
“Favorites!❤️❤️🙌🔥 I can’t calm down 🙃, killing as always Erin! … We love our TE, best in the league. Go Niners!!!♥️💛” a supporter commented.
“Love this, great interview!” a viewer wrote.
“That was awesome,” a fan said.
That’s another one in the books for Erin Andrews, who as always, has a knack for getting the best responses from the people she interviews.
As for Kittle, he will get a chance to help the Niners win their third game of the year on Sunday against the Cardinals. As of writing, San Francisco is up 23-10 at the half, with the 30-year-old TE already logging four receptions for 26 yards and a touchdown.
