Adams, who spent the past four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, signed a one-year deal that reportedly comes with just $1.125 million in guaranteed money. The Titans confirmed the move but didn’t disclose any details of the agreement.

Jamal Adams was once considered the premium safety in the NLF, but his reputation took a hit following back-to-back underwhelming seasons with the Seahawks. He played just one game in 2022 due to a torn quad tendon and was limited to nine games, in which he had only two passes defended, in 2023. Seattle ended up deciding to release him in March.

Adams is now looking to get his career back on track, but he isn’t out to prove the doubters wrong. In his chat with Titans’ official podcast, which came shortly after he signed the deal, Adams said that he wants to prove himself right.

“I’m not trying to prove anyone wrong, I’m trying to prove myself right,” Adams shared.

Adams is expected to have a lot of opportunities to prove himself right in Tennessee. The safety position is considered a weak spot for the Titans, and Adams should have a good chance of earning a starting spot for Week 1.
