JUST IN: The Crimson Tide adds another 4-star prospect into the incoming class.

On Wednesday comes college football’s National Early Signing Date, and the majority of the country’s best prospects have already decided where they want to play. Indeed, others have already signed up and are taking part in bowl drills with their teams.Since the hiring cycle is always shifting and there are still prospects to choose from, it is starting to become the new normal.

Jayshawn Ross gave the Alabama Crimson Tide one of them on Monday night.

The 4-star athlete Ross announced his commitment to the Alabama Crimson Tide on social media on Monday night, making him the 22nd recruit in the Tide’s 2024 class.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound athlete from Kansas City, Missouri’s Liberty North High School is ranked as the class’s No. 21 overall edge prospect and the sixth best player in the state.

It was during the LSU game that he made his official trip to Tuscaloosa last season that Freddie Roach and Coleman Hutzler mostly chased him. Ross turned down offers from Oklahoma, Kansas State, and Nebraska in favor of the Tide.

According to 247Sports, Alabama is still ranked fourth overall in the class, but because to Ross’s pledge, the 247Sports composite—which also takes into account rankings from other recruiting services—moves Alabama up to third place.

As the 2024 cycle draws to a conclusion, the Crimson Tide still has a couple prospects they want to target. Alabama would seek to trade for a defensive lineman and add one or more running backs.
