SO SAD: Bad News for Cincinnati Bengals coach

CINCINNATI — Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan will interview for the Titans head coaching job on Friday. It’s the first of at least four interviews that Callahan is expected to take.

The Panthers, Falcons and Chargers have also requested to interview him for their head coaching vacancies.

Callahan is scheduled to interview with the Chargers on Tuesday.

Their are eight current head coaching vacancies, which means at least 25% of the NFL will have a new head coach next season.

The Bengals want to retain Callahan and he’s interviewed for head coaching jobs in the past, but this could be the year he becomes a head coach. Even with guys like Jim Harbaugh, Bill Belichick, Pete Carroll and Mike Vrabel on the market, Callahan could certainly land one of these jobs.
