SO SAD: BAD NEWS FOR NEW YORK GIANTS COACH

The Giants wasted little time filling their opening for offensive line coach after firing Bobby Johnson on Monday morning. The Giants requested, and were granted, the interview with Bricillo on Tuesday.

The Raiders fielded one of the better offensive lines in the NFL over the last two years despite not investing anywhere near the resources the Giants have over the last several years. The Raiders fielded an offensive line which boasted just one first rounder and a pair of UDFAs, but were third in true pass sets per Pro Football Focus, ninth in pass protection, and 14th in run blocking.

The NFL announced their designated teams for their London and Munich 2024 International Games on Thursday.

The Jacksonville Jaguars, a London staple, will play at Wembley Stadium and the Carolina Panthers play in Munich, Germany this coming season (opponents TBD). Of the teams designated, the New York Giants have only the Panthers on their 2024 schedule. It is very possible the Giants make the trip across the pond and play their first game in Germany

Giants O-line coach Bobby Johnson sorry for role in fight

Offensive coordinator Mike Kafka appears set to return to coach Brian Daboll’s staff, according to The Post’s Paul Schwartz, after a tumultuous couple of days for the organization that saw that team fire special teams coordinator Thomas McGaughey on Monday and a parting of ways with defensive coordinator Wink Martindale on Wednesday.

Kafka’s return isn’t etched in stone, however, as the Titans requested permission to interview him after firing Mike Vrabel this week.

Chargers announce G.M. interview with Brandon Brown | Pro Football Talk

Los Angeles announced that the team has completed an interview with Giants assistant General Manager Brandon Brown.

Brown has been with New York over the last two seasons as assistant G.M. The Panthers have also put in a request to interview Brown for their G.M. vacancy.

Giants face roadblock in pursuit of new coordinator | NJ.com

One of the Giants’ attempts to replace former special teams coordinator Thomas McGaughey was over before it began.

According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, New York sent a request to the Chargers to talk to Ryan Ficken, but Los Angeles blocked him from interviewing with the Giants.

The Giants’ entire offseason is going to be intriguing, from the assistant coaching hires they make to their free-agent decisions through draft weekend. I ended up going with Joe Alt as my mock draft pick for them since there wasn’t an ideal quarterback option left, but if Jayden Daniels is still on the board at No. 6, he would be both intriguing and hard to pass up. If it’s not a switch to a quarterback, I think wide receiver has to be the target. The Giants need a WR1, and Rome Odunze or Malik Nabers could be that player for whoever is playing quarterback.
