SAD News naw Miami Dolphins All-Pro Considering Retirement

Terron Armstead has been a force on the offensive line throughout his career as he has made five Pro Bowls and was a second-team All Pro left tackle in his 11-year career. However, he has been dealing with injuries as he appeared in 10 games for the Miami Dolphins this season as he has battled a lot of injuries.

There have been questions about his future and discussed with reporters on Monday how this season was the most challenging for him and that he loves football

Pro Bowl LT Terron Armstead told reporters that this season was the most challenging one for him personally, and he will have discussions with those close to him about his future. He did say he still loves playing football.

Armstead has dealt with a number of injuries…

Terron Armstead is in an interesting spot as before the 2022 season, he signed a five-year, $95million contact and there is a potential out after the 2024 season. This upcoming season is when the salary jumps from $1.165 million in 2023 to $13.25 million in 2024. It will be interesting to see what is next for him as the Dolphins are going to have to pay big money for him and has only played in 23 of 34 regular season games since joining the team.

Will the Miami Dolphins cut Terron Armstead this offseason?

While Terron Armstead is still one of the better offensive tackles in the NFL, health is a key contributor to success. When he is on the field, he makes the Dolphins better as he is protecting the edge and keeping pressure out of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s face.Ezoic

He still can play at a high level as he finished the 2023 season with a PFF grade of 80.9. For those of you who are not fond of their grading system, he did well as in 524 offensive snaps this season, Armstead allowed one sack and committed three penalties. That keeps the offense going in the right direction and playing well.

While the Dolphins will likely not cut him, expect the front office to try and restructure his contract as they have some big needs coming up this offseason and has the seventh-highest base salary in 2024 for the franchise and is only behind Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill on the offense.

This Dolphins team has a lot of things to figure out and hopefully Armstead is healthy. If they get rid of him, he will be one of the more valuable free agents on the offensive line.
