Not surprisingly the Eagles have identified their next quarterback coach.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, they are bringing on Doug Nussmeier, who has collaborated with the new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore for the past six seasons.

Doug Nussmeier will teach the quarterbacks for the Eagles, according to league sources. In Dallas and Los Angeles, Nussmeier has collaborated closely with OC Kellen Moore.

53-year-old Nussmeier worked with the Chargers’ quarterbacks during the 2023 season.

“Yes, clearly our working relationship in Dallas, where we spent five years together, was enjoyable. It was great to see him take advantage of the chance to become a coordinator, to see the system there develop, and to see the things we were able to achieve. Kellen had, I believe, played for [former Chargers Offensive Coordinator] Joe [Lombardi] in Detroit, so he had some experience with what had been done here, how things had been done here. This was obviously one of the perks of the situation when it presented itself. That has been a major factor in the transfer, as has being aware of our system and the way we operated in Dallas, as well as taking a broad view and figuring out how everything fits together.
