The 25-year-old Luiz has been the focus of intense transfer rumors for several months. The Brazilian’s outstanding achievements in the current season have drawn interest from several Premier League clubs.

Football Insider now claims that Aston Villa will have to let go of key players from the first squad in order to make room for new players before the 2024–25 campaign begins. They may therefore break up with Luiz later this year in order to abide by the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability regulations.

Luiz, who is reportedly worth £100 million, has been crucial to Aston Villa’s continuous push for a top four spot.

Chris Sutton makes a prediction for the forthcoming Premier League match between Arsenal and Liverpool.
This Sunday (February 4) in the Premier League, Arsenal will defeat Liverpool 2-1, according to a prediction made by former Chelsea forward Chris Sutton in his column for the BBC. He penned:

Right now, Liverpool appears to be in excellent form. They gave me a lot of impressions against Chelsea, and Mohamed Salah still needs to recover from his injury sustained during the Africa Cup of Nations. In contrast, Arsenal’s 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest on Tuesday came despite little offensive play on their part. What matters most is that they completed the task at hand.”

Endorsing the Gunners to overcome Jurgen Klopp’s team, Sutton said:

“Mikel Arteta’s team still lacks a center forward, but I believe they will take use of some of the openings they produce this time. Liverpool will score as well, so I’m still not quite sure why I’m picking Arsenal to win, but the Gunners need the points more than anything else, and I believe they will just about do enough to grab them.”

Liverpool leads the 2023–24 standings with 51 points from 22 games, having defeated Arsenal 2-0 in the FA Cup last month. After 22 games, the North London team has 46 points, good for third place.

The Merseyside team was held to a 1-1 league draw earlier in the season with goals in December from Gabriel Magalhaes and Mohamed Salah, each for their respective teams.
