Bulls Rumor: ‘0.0%’ for Alex Caruso Deal; No ‘Expectation’ that DeMar DeRozan Will Be Traded

With star shooting guard Zach LaVine sidelined by season-ending foot surgery, the Chicago Bulls are probably going to hold their current roster until Thursday’s trade deadline.

On Monday’s edition of The Hoop Collective, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst revealed that the Bulls are not anticipated to trade their two best players, DeMar DeRozan and Alex Caruso, this week.

“The league is currently aware that the Bulls are not actively seeking to deal those players, even with LaVine’s injury. At the 28:20 minute, Windhorst stated, “There isn’t a chance that DeRozan will be traded, and I’ve heard ‘0.0’ on Caruso.Bulls Rumors: No 'Expectation' DeMar DeRozan Gets Traded; '0.0%' for Alex Caruso Deal | News, Scores, Highlights, Stats, and Rumors | Bleacher Report

Caruso is a highly sought-after player in the league due to his versatility as a “glue guy” and ability to impact the game in multiple ways. DeRozan’s contract is about to expire, and his arrival would provide an immediate offensive boost to any club aiming to challenge for an NBA title and a postseason berth

Chicago is seventh in the Eastern Conference with a record of 23–27. The fact that the teams trailing the Bulls are too erratic to be a threat to overtake them in the rankings, according to Windhorst, may encourage them to stick with their core.

Chicago’s next game is scheduled for Tuesday, when they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves. For tickets to all NBA games, including those featuring the Bulls, visit Vivid Seats.
