GOOD NEWS: The Chicago Bulls will not exchange Alex and DeMar DeRozan…..

It might be impossible to ignore the clamor by now for the Chicago Bulls to take action at this year’s trade deadline. It’s evident from the Bulls’ 23-27 record that they are much below championship-contending status.Rumor: Bulls need to be blown away to trade Alex Caruso; little interest for a DeMar DeRozan deal - Yahoo Sports

The Bulls’ front office is under pressure from both fans and analysts to make a deal, particularly after Zach LaVine underwent season-ending surgery. However, according to a reliable source, the organization may decide not to trade Alex Caruso and DeMar DeRozan, its two biggest trade assets.

Based on the information he has received thus far, ESPN insider Brian Windhorst said the Bulls are not interested in trading DeRozan and Caruso to other teams for this season.

“The league is currently aware that the Bulls are not actively seeking to deal those players, even with LaVine’s injury. DeRozan is not expected to be dealt, and from what I’ve heard about Caruso, ‘0.0’,” Windhorst stated.

DeRozan, who is playing in the last year of a three-year contract he signed in 2021, is the subject of a lot of talk. Deebo, who is already 34 years old, is still a superb playmaker and scorer; this season, he averages 22.0 points and 5.4 assists. The Bulls and DeRozan’s representatives have not communicated about a contract extension, and if he chooses to test free agency this winter, the organization may lose him for nothing.

The Bulls might not be open to parting ways with DeRozan, though. They may view him as a crucial component of their success going forward given their improved synergy. The younger members of the squad have also greatly benefited from his leadership and experienced presence.
