GOOD NEWS : For the 2024 Cardinals season, Redbird Express will be back, but the cost of tickets could surprise you….

The Redbird Express shuttle, which was discontinued in 2022 owing to a driver shortage, will reopen on March 30 for the St. Louis Cardinals’ opening day.

The St. Clair County Transit District and Metro St. Louis will no longer run the shuttle; instead, Windstar Lines will, and the cost has tripled.

In 2018, tickets for the Redbird Express, which was run by Metro St. Louis and the St. Clair County Transit District, were $2 for kids aged two to twelve and $5 for adults. The cost of a ticket is now $15 for each way.

Although taxes were used to pay the former Redbird Express in addition to ticket sales, the shuttle is currently privately operated and will not receive any money from the government.

“Skip the headache of parking and games in downtown traffic on game day and parking. RATHER , pull up to the stadium’s curbside in a luxurious motor coach! The Redbird Express website says, “Relax knowing that a skilled driver will get you to and from the game safely.

Metro-east Supporters of the Cardinals can park in Fairview Heights’ St. Clair Square and take the shuttle to Busch Stadium. Drop-off is at Spruce Street, next to Gate 6, between 4th Street and South Broadway. Tickets are reserved for a specified departure time; the shuttle service starts three hours prior to kickoff and operates every fifteen minutes.
