SAD NEWS: Emmitt Smith, the Cowboys Hall of Famer, is becoming extremely old…

Ever since Smith won his third championship with Dallas in 1996, the Cowboys have failed to make it to the Super Bowl. In front of a full home crowd, Dallas’ postseason woes continued last year as they lost to the Green Bay Packers 48-32 in a wild card playoff game.Emmitt Smith: Career retrospective | Yardbarker

LAS VEGAS: Emmitt Smith claimed that he is now much more irate with the Dallas Cowboys.Smith responded, “I’m done,” when asked about his annoyance. “It almost feels like I’ve never been here, at the place I’m at right now, when I think about what I’ve experienced over the last year with the Cowboys,” he continued.

Mike Zimmer, the new defensive coordinator the Cowboys have hired, was welcomed, according to Smith. Prior to being sacked following the 2021 season, Zimmer led the Minnesota Vikings for eight years as head coach. From 1994 to 2006, he served as the Cowboys’ assistant coach.

Smith said, “I can’t wait to give him a big hug because I think we need to bring back some of that old school tradition.”

Smith also believes that Zimmer’s connection with Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy will be crucial.

“‘Cause Zimmer could call (McCarthy) out on his (expletive),” he replied.

The Cowboys’ fan base is closely examining McCarthy and quarterback Dak Prescott, but Smith stated the team does not require a complete revamp.

He declared, “We have the talent.” “We just got to do things a little bit differently and focus on things a little bit differently than what we’ve been doing.”
