BAD andGOOD NEWS : Los Angeles Dodgers and Baltimore Orioles…..

The Baltimore Orioles and Los Angeles Dodgers made baseball history together by being swept in the Division Series after each team had won 100 or more games this season.Dodgers rout Orioles with two big innings for 8th win in 9 games – Orange County Register

The Texas Rangers swept the Orioles in three games, while the Arizona Diamondbacks swept the Dodgers in three.

In the wild card round, both teams were given byes, and much discussion has centered on whether or not a team benefits from a bye and the additional rest it provides.

In addition, there are probably other factors contributing to the underwhelming playoff outcomes. First off, neither of the two teams—the Rangers or the Diamondbacks—have lost in the postseason thus far. They have both been quite hot. Every one of them is 5-0.

Moreover, in the instance of the Orioles, inexperience might have contributed to their downfall. Being one of the league’s newer clubs, they lacked several players with postseason experience.

Injury suffered by the Dodgers also had a significant impact. This year’s starting rotation was severely damaged by injuries, missing multiple players who could have started these three games against Arizona, which resulted in a dismal performance.

Dustin May, Julio Urias, and Walker Buehler all sustained injuries that kept them out of the game for several months; Buehler missed the entire campaign. Following Tony Gonsolin’s season-ending injury, Urias was placed on the restricted list.

As that young ballplayer develops, the Orioles should return as one of the greatest teams in baseball next season. Given the age of the squad and their history of missing the playoffs, there are concerns over the Dodgers.
