SAD NEWS: After two more players were added, the Detroit Lions now have seven players in the Pro Bowl.

, and rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs, a running back, were both promoted to the starting lineup, the team stated.St. Brown, who was originally passed over for the Pro Bowl but went on to win more prestigious first-team All-Pro accolades, takes A.J. Brown’s place as an injured Philadelphia Eagles receiver. Christian McCaffrey, the running back for San Francisco who will play in the Super Bowl following the 49ers’ victory over the Lions in the NFC Championship, is being replaced by Gibbs.

After being added as an alternate last offseason, St. Brown will be playing in the Pro Bowl for the second year in a row. With 119 catches for 1,515 yards and 10 touchdowns in his third season, the receiver greatly increased his output.

 

 

Regarding Gibbs, he made his debut with 1,261 yards from scrimmage and 11 touchdowns. With 10 carries of 20 yards or more, the explosive dual threat tied for second place in the NFL with an average of 5.2 yards per carry. He continued to produce at a high level throughout the postseason, amassing another 238 yards and three touchdowns in three different playoff games.
