, Alabama — At Sewell-Thomas Stadium, the Alabama Crimson Tide baseball team defeated Manhattan College 4-0 to earn its first victory of the 2024 campaign.

Ben Hess, a junior right-hand pitcher, started for the Crimson Tide and threw 4.0 innings, striking out nine batters, walking two, and giving up just one hit in an almost perfect outing. The victory went to Hess.
