Sad news: Super Bowl 58 was won by the Kansas City Chiefs over the San Francisco 49ers in overtime.

It was a close one, with both defenses playing excellently all night, but Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs prevailed in a thrilling overtime Super Bowl.

Similar to when they lost to the Chiefs in the Super Bowl four years prior, the 49ers were up by ten points but were unable to hold on because Mahomes wouldn’t go down.

49ers' decision to take the ball first in Super Bowl overtime will be debated for a while

For him and his Chiefs dynasty, it’s their third victory in five years, and who’s to say they won’t return the following season to try for a hat-trick?

Well, that’s a topic for another day, so for now, let’s wrap up another incredible NFL season. We appreciate your company during this long night; now, go sleep

Andy Reid, the head coach, has earned some great appreciation from Patrick Mahomes:

“He’s one of the greatest coaches in history, and in my opinion, the greatest coach ever.”

“Although he doesn’t yet have any titles, his ability to lead any squad he’s on and achieve success no matter where he is is impressive.

“I don’t think I’d be the quarterback that I am if I didn’t have coach Reid as my head coach.”!

Patrick Mahomes gets his hands on the Lombardi Trophy for a third time in five years – he’s been in four Super Bowls in that time, and to the AFC Championship game every single year.

He’s only lost one play-off game against a QB not named Tom Brady, so who can stop him? He’s still just 28, how many more will he win?
