After finishing second behind Mac McClung, the current two-time defending champion, Brown told reporters, “Terrence was like my little bro” (h/t Boston.com). Unquestionably connected to Boston. I desired to be performing everything with a purpose. I believe that tonight, I achieved my goal of giving everything a message. I can live with the outcome because I enjoyed the process of doing it.”

 

Following the Bostonian’s tragic death in 2021, Brown has been seeking to pay tribute to him for some time. He argued in favor of the Kentucky product hearing his name called in the NBA draft of 2021.

In the end, Brown considered his Saturday participation in All-Star Weekend to be enjoyable.
