Joe Burrow, Josh Allen, and Lamar Jackson. These quarterbacks are regarded by many as being behind Patrick Mahomes in the race to be the finest signal-caller in the NFL. But what about Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys? Where in the rankings is the runner-up for MVP from the previous season?

Louis Riddick, a former general manager of the Philadelphia Eagles who is currently an ESPN analyst, claims that there is a significant distinction between Prescott and the other three quarterbacks.

Louis Reddick stated, “Ain’t nobody fearing Dak Prescott,” during a recent ESPN Get Up show. “They are afraid of Josh Allen. They’re afraid of Lamar Jackson. Joe [Burrow] is feared by them.

This raises the “why” question. What distinguishes Prescott from the three quarterbacks Riddick listed?

“They fear Joe because of his mind because they feel as though he can deal with Patrick [Mahomes] on the same level,” Riddick said. “They fear Josh because they think Josh is just a freak and it’s hard to really defend [against].

It is difficult to refute Riddick’s claim that defenses don’t “fear” Prescott since he lacks the same “elite” attribute as Jackson or Allen with his legs or an arm. Prescott may not have the same exceptional arm strength or dexterity as other quarterbacks in the game.
