The inquiry is a result of a report of an alleged assault involving domestic violence that happened on January 16 inside a townhouse in Owings Mills. According to property records, Flowers resides there.

After hearing from a woman who appeared to be “in distress” and was “crying,” a 911 dispatcher stated there was no emergency and handed up the phone.

The woman went to the police in her hometown of Acton, Massachusetts, five days after making the 911 call, per the police report.

There, she reported that a well-known NFL player had left her with violent domestic injuries in Baltimore County.

The woman added that after police went to the development to look into it more, the NFL player’s brother “also drew a gun” but “got scared and put it [gun] away,” according to the police report.

According to the authorities, she withheld the football player’s name from them during their inquiry. Police, however, claimed social media was used to establish a relationship between the complaining witness and the other party.

Police added that in the weeks that followed the report, Flowers refused to be interviewed by police on behalf of his legal representative and the lady did not supply any more information regarding the alleged assault.

As of February 16, the investigation was considered suspended.

However, if the department finds out more information, the case might be reopened.

The Ravens directed WJZ to an earlier statement on Tuesday. It says:
