At LSU in 2021, Davis-Price had 211 carries for 1,003 running yards and six touchdowns. NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein lauded Davis-Price’s “explosiveness” ahead of the 2022 draft, calling the playmaker a “big, athletic back.”
The newest running back for the Eagles is described by Zierlein in his pre-draft profile as a “big, athletic back offering an enticing blend of size and explosiveness to go with an SEC pedigree”. Davis-Price had a dull and amateurish tape in the first part of the season, but that began to improve in the second half. He is a mysterious back that possesses physicality, finesse, urgency, and indecision on any given carry.
Zierlein said, “He got much better as the season went on and clearly finds a rhythm when given volume carries.” According to scouts, maintaining motivation will be crucial.
