Owner Logan Mikhly felt as though she had reached her lowest point when Boris & Horton, the first dog café in New York City, revealed that their East Village and Williamsburg shops will be closing on Monday, February 26.

The first dog-friendly café in the city was established a little over six years ago on the northwest corner of Avenue A and 12th by Logan and Coppy, the father-daughter team behind Boris & Horton. It soon became a “staple” in East Village.

They have been inundated with stories from people about their experiences at B&H and how significant events in their life took place there ever since the closing announcement. Individuals told tales of how they had met their partners, their neighbors, and even started a business out of the café’s back.

Since she doesn’t own a dog in the city, Boris & Horton has turned into a “happy place” for Amanda Gerzog, a digital marketer in New York City, she told The Post.
