Clement Lenglet is reportedly improving his situation at Aston Villa, per a story published by the Spanish publication SPORT. During the winter transfer window, the 28-year-old came close to leaving the West Midlands team. However, the Villans are currently thinking about bringing him in permanently during the summer transfer window from Barcelona.
Since joining Aston Villa on loan from Barcelona on the final day of the summer transfer window, Clement Lenglet’s journey has been a wild one. The 2022–2023 season saw the French defender make his way back to the Premier League for a second season following a brief stint at Tottenham Hotspur.
However, the 28-year-old’s 2023–24 season was difficult in the first half as he was limited to regular playing action in the UEFA Europa Conference League. But in the past several weeks, things have gone better for him, and he has started nine straight games for Aston Villa.
