What a placard A Leeds United has a great offer right now.

At the World Athletics Indoor Championships, Josh Kerr of Great Britain won his second global title with a breathtaking 3,000-meter gold in front of a thunderous home crowd.

World 1500m champion Kerr, who became the first Scot to win world indoor gold in 31 years, roared on as an overwhelming amount of noise from the spectators filled Glasgow’s Emirates Arena. Kerr finished in seven minutes 42.98 seconds.

By doing this, he won the first medal for Great Britain at the championships, following Laura Muir’s fifth-place result in the women’s 3,000m.

Femke Bol of the Netherlands broke the world record in the women’s 400-meter final, winning gold. Laviai Nielsen, the captain of the British team, had a personal best time of 50.89, but she finished fourth, just missing the podium.

Kerr wins big on the return home.
As he defeated Ethiopia’s reigning champion Selemon Barega, Kerr—who has stated that he wants to leave the Paris Olympics with a gold medal around his neck—judged his finish flawlessly.

Once he took the lead with 400 meters left, the 26-year-old never seemed to let it up, and the fans erupted in celebration as Kerr won an unforgettable race.

It’s been a little over six months since Kerr shocked Olympic champion Jakob Ingebrigtsen by winning the 1500m gold medal at the outdoor World Championship in Budapest.

Kerr, who won bronze in the Olympics in Tokyo, has validated his rhetoric at the beginning of 2024 by defeating the nine-year-old world indoor two-mile record held by British icon Mo Farah.

Two years ago, after placing 12th at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, Kerr stated that he was eager to finally perform well in front of his local supporters before these championships.

Here, he accomplished that while solidifying his position as the man to beat in Paris.

Aston Villa snatches the points as Luton rallies from a 2-0 deficit, while Liverpool advances four points clear at the top with a goal in the 99th minute.

All the goals will be available on BBC One’s Match of the Day starting at 22:30 GMT. On Sunday, we’ll be back for the Manchester derby and Burnley vs. Bournemouth.

Enjoy your wonderful evening.
