The New York Jets, who had just acquired superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers in a blockbuster trade with the Green Bay Packers, had high expectations going into the 2023 NFL regular season as a serious title contender.

It was believed that the selection of Rodgers to start in place of draft bust Zach Wilson would be a game-changer for the historic NFL team. However, tragedy struck during the team’s opening game against the division rival Buffalo Bills, as the four-time NFL MVP suffered an Achilles injury that would end his season.

The Jets’ chances of being competitive in 2023 were completely destroyed by this injury, as they barely managed a 7-10 record and failed to qualify for the NFL playoffs.

There is some hope because Rodgers has stated that he plans to rejoin the team in 2024, but there is no assurance that he will be the same player or that the Jets will have enough talent to compete.

According to The Volume, podcaster John claimed that this team is about to implode in an interview with Colin Cowherd.

declared, “I think they’re headed for a complete implosion and a complete disaster.”
