Leicester City has praised the decision that the team was correct to refuse to provide the EFL with a business plan upon request, and they have called the league’s attempt to obtain this information “concerning.”

The EFL had predicted that the Foxes would likely break spending regulations, so they had gotten in touch with the team

to ask for a financial blueprint. The Club Financial Reporting Panel  concluded that Leicester is not required by current regulations to comply with the EFL’s request.

The league has accepted the ruling and announced that it will be changing its regulations moving forward. Leicester claims to be in discussions about club finance calculations with “football

authorities”. This is due to concerns that the team may have violated the Profit & Sustainability Rules of the Premier League during the relegation battle of the previous season.

Although Leicester is pleased with the hearing’s outcome, they are concerned about the EFL’s conduct in light of the current financial regulations. They issued a pointed statement on Wednesday, one hour after the decision.
