Less than a month has passed since the Kansas City Chiefs’ most recent Super Bowl victory, and they are already in full dynasty mode. Chris Jones, the outstanding defensive tackle for the defending champions, is one of many free agents that the team now has. Although Jones has played his whole career for the Chiefs, there have been whispers that, as a free agency, he may sign with a rival team in his division.

Chris Jones posted something on Twitter on Thursday that is garnering a lot of attention from Chiefs supporters and NFL fans in general. Who knows what the man will wind up doing.

Jones and Chiefs head coach Andy Reid are shown in the picture celebrating the team’s recent Super Bowl victory. The phone call tab at the top of the screen, which indicates that Jones has been on a call for an hour, is equally fascinating. “KC..” is what his caption says.

This cryptic tweet appears to have two possible meanings. First of all, Jones recently hashed out a deal with the Chiefs after extensive negotiations, and he hopes to share another Super Bowl victory with his coach. The second possibility is that he had a lengthy conversation about leaving with Kansas City, and there may be a tearful farewell. Who knows what that means, though?

Naturally, it would be very important to keep Chris Jones on the team. Since the beginning of his NFL career in 2016, he has become one of the league’s top DTs. Jones recorded 10.5 sacks and 30 total tackles in the previous campaign. He had a fantastic season and played a significant role in the Chiefs’ NFL-winning defense.

The most important thing to take away from Jones’ tweet is that it appears that something noteworthy happened today, therefore we may soon find out where he will be spending the upcoming season. Chiefs supporters, cross your fingers.
