Jets Re-Sign Free Agent for Aaron Rodgers Offense

The New York Jets have put four tight ends in place for their Aaron Rodgers-led offense.

With Tyler Conklin, Jeremy and Zack all under contract, the Jets have decided to bring Kenny back into the fold. According to NFL Network’s Peter , the team has agreed to a one-year deal with the impending restricted free agent.

The Yeboah has totaled 25 regular season appearances for New York over the past three seasons since joining the organization as an undrafted free agent in 2021.

Due to a preseason hamstring injury, landed on Injured Reserve at the start of the 2023 regular season and eventually returned to play the final five games on the schedule. The Jets opened his practice window on November 15 and activated the tight end to take CJ  spot on December

Contributing mainly on special teams, totaled two receptions for 28 yards on offense. In three preseason games, he managed four catches for 36 yards and one touchdown.

The tight end position projects to heavily factor into the passing offense under Rodgers’s direction. Even with Rodgers sidelined last year, Conklin, the team’s , finished as the Jets’ second-leading receiver with 621 yards.

has been targeted only seven times in the passing game over a three-year period. Meanwhile, he has totaled 441 career special teams snaps.

Other than adding a rookie or two ahead of training camp, it doesn’t appear likely the Jets will use any further  resources on the tight ends’ room.
