Bam Margera, star of Jackass, disclosed that he is 100 days sober after battling addiction and drug misuse.

Margera announced on Instagram iThe former stuntman has always been transparent about his battle with addiction; in an attempt to kick the habit, he completed a year-long drug and alcohol treatment program.n April of this year that he will “quit drinking.”

Writing, “For the sake of Phoenix the wolf,” Margera revealed that he had been motivated to give up alcohol by his son. I’m going to give up drinking today.”

Now that he has been clean for 100 days, Margera has made the announcement. He credits Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg and his partner Dannii for their continuous support and assistance.

The Jackass actor told TMZ that he and Dannii train out every day, and that he recently discovered himself working out in a gym decorated with pictures of Wahlberg. He attributed his ability to stay focused on his sobriety to skateboarding and the gym.

Although it may appear like a haphazard attempt at inspiration, Jarred Taylor, the gym’s owner, was the driving force behind the photos.

Wahlberg and Taylor previously collaborated closely on the 2013 war film Lone Survivor, which inspired Taylor to use stills from some of Wahlberg’s films to adorn his gym.

Margera made the decision to send Wahlberg a video to check in with him after he accomplished the goal of becoming 100 days sober.

The stuntman added, “What up Mark, it’s Bam Margera here with Dannii,” in the video that TMZ was able to obtain.
