Stephen Holder Reports a “New Contract” as a Potential Trade Hold-Up for L’Jarius Sneed Between the Chiefs and the Colts
Holder posted a thread yesterday, March 15, detailing the “hold-up” in the Sneed negotiations between the Chiefs and Colts.

“My understanding is that the challenge of agreeing to a new contract is more important than KC’s willingness to trade Chiefs cornerback L’Jarius Sneed, who was franchised and given permission to seek a trade,” he started.

According to the author, the scenario in question appears to be a sign-and-trade, hence two boxes need to be checked: Payback in kind and a fresh contract. That’s where it sits, but the Colts and other clubs are still interested.

Holder later said, “I might have been a little ambiguous here.” Saying: “To put it this way, I’ve been informed that the Chiefs are acting rationally. Whether or not a contract can be reached with Sneed is the most important matter.

The Colts have “executed well over $200 million in contracts THIS WEEK,” the ESPN reporter added.
