Ian Wright believes that Nottingham Forest and not Everton will get relegated with Luton Town also managing to avoid the drop.

Everton: Ian Wright shares relegation prediction post Nottingham Forest news

The former Arsenal striker believes that Forest will lose against Burnley and Sheffield United after learning that they will lose four points.

Everton potential owners to be put off by club statement says Ian Wright

But in order for the Toffees to survive, he believes they must finish their work before their match against the Gunners on the last day, which they could need to win in order to win the Premier League.

Wright said (18 March, 14:58) on the Kelly and Wrighty Show: “I think Luton will get out of it, with Forest, Burnley, and Sheffield United going down.” They do really seem to be gone. I’m hoping Luton can come to their own senses.

“Luton can score points from their home games, as you can see. When you see Everton’s enormous matches. Arsenal is their opponent on the last day. They might go into trouble if they don’t finish it before then.

Everton have what it takes to avoid relegation

Wright raises a good point: Sean Dyche’s team can’t wait until the very last minute to secure the necessary outcome to remain up.

Forest will be in 18th position with 21 points in the bank if they are punished four points.

With 25 goals, Everton is now 16th in the league and has a higher goal differential than Nuno Espirito Santo’s team.

Dyche has experienced such situations previously, so she is aware of the pressure that goes along with it as well as the best way to escape.

The Toffees, who are preparing for yet another fight to the end, have already faced relegation twice this season.

Tim Sherwood has made his decision about the team’s fight for relegation, with Forest willing to make a comeback as well.

In other Everton news, there is growing pressure as a new takeover twist casts question on the Toffees’ financial future.
