Sandoval’s effort at a third stay with the team was halted by that. In 28 springtime at-bats, he batted.250 with two RBIs.

Sandoval, 37, a fan favorite known as Kung Fu Panda and the 2012 World Series MVP, was attempting to make his way back to the major leagues for the first time since 2021, when he batted.178 in 69 games with the Atlanta Braves with a.302 on-base percentage, four home runs, and eleven RBIs.
