What Sam Burgess has said about rumours of an imminent South Sydney return
SAM Burgess has moved to pour cold water on rumours of an imminent return to South Sydney Rabbitohs.
He insists his commitment to leading Warrington Wolves for at least the duration of his two-year contract remains absolute regardless of what is happening at the club where he spent the majority of his playing career.

Upon his retirement, he joined the coaching staff at the club before leaving last year in order to return to England and take his first top-flight head coaching role with The Wire.
Back in Australia, though, an 0-3 start to 2024 has cranked up the pressure on Rabbitohs head coach Jason Demetrius, under whom Burgess worked as an assistant coach last year, and rumours have started to fly about a return to Red Fern for the Wire boss.0:47
