The Philadelphia 76ers are in the last stretch of the 2023–2024 NBA season, and every game counts more. The Miami Heat, an Eastern Conference opponent, will take on the Sixers on Thursday in a game that might have significant postseason ramifications.

Thus, Joel Embiid’s standing as a standout center is crucial. The Sixers have shown themselves to be among the hardest teams in the East this season thanks to Embiid.

Sixers Reveal Joel Embiid’s Final Playing Status vs. Miami Heat

Embiid was the main reason for Philly’s early-season success in the regular season, as the former MVP was having a fantastic campaign to win the trophy in back-to-back years.

The Sixers struggled to maintain their composure after he left a game against the Golden State Warriors on January 30.

Embiid decided to undergo surgery in order to treat a meniscus problem, which necessitated at least eight weeks of recuperation. Embiid returned on schedule earlier this week, and on Tuesday against the Oklahoma City Thunder, he was elevated to available.

Despite playing less than 30 minutes, as was to be expected, Embiid had a significant impact on the game. In the surprising victory over Oklahoma City, he finished with 24 points, six rebounds, and seven assists.

Embiid was listed as questionable by the Sixers prior to their game against Miami. The presence of the veteran center during the team’s morning shootaround was encouraging since it suggested he would be prepared to play again after his return.

Embiid will play against the Heat after receiving the all-clear to play once more. At 7:30 p.m. ET, the Sixers will tip off in Miami
