Horner declared, “It’s obviously been a very trying period” when discussing the effect on his family and demanded an immediate cessation to the interference into his private life.
Christian Horner has responded to criticism after allegations that he acted improperly toward a female Red Bull employee, saying the “intrusion on my family is now enough” and that it “has been very trying.”

The Formula 1 team manager stated at a press conference held in advance of this weekend’s Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in Jeddah that it was now appropriate to “look forward and to draw a line” under the accusations.

Red Bull GmbH, the team’s parent company based in Austria, exonerated Horner last week of any wrongdoing. Horner has consistently refuted the allegations made against him.

Following the dismissal of the grievance, the 50-year-old was permitted to continue serving as the team principal.

However, Horner called for an immediate end to the interference into his personal life and stated, “It’s obviously been a very trying period” when discussing the effect on his family.

Husband of former Spice Girl Geri Horner, Horner lashed out at the interference, citing “scrutiny it placed on my marriage” as well as its effect on his kids.

“I’m really lucky to have a lovely family and a very supportive wife,” he remarked. And the only person named in this is me.

“So of course it’s very trying, it’s very challenging, because when there’s children involved, when there’s families, parents etc involved, it’s not pretty.”

He went on, “My wife and my family have been incredibly supportive throughout this, but it is now enough that my family is being invaded; we need to move forward and concentrate on our goals.

“It is time now to focus on why we are here which is to go Formula 1 racing.”
