April 9, 2024, St. Louis /PRNewswire/ — Leading healthcare company Centene Corporation (NYSE: CNC), which is dedicated to promoting healthier lives for people, announced today that Meridian in Michigan, its subsidiary, has been chosen by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) to remain a Medicaid health plan provider for the Comprehensive Health Care Program, which provides care for almost two million residents of the state. With three one-year possible extensions, the planned Medicaid contracts are anticipated to start on October 1, 2024, and end on September 30, 2029.
