RB Jaydon Blue of the Texas Longhorns hopes “to be gone” to…

AUSTIN: Professional and collegiate athletes frequently emphasize the importance of staying in the moment and not getting ahead of oneself, but Texas Longhorns running back Jaydon Blue is demonstrating that he is intellectually developed enough to strike a balance between the past, present, and future.

During his media appearance on Thursday, Blue was questioned about if the 2024 campaign will be his “contract year”. While most players would ignore the topic and insist that their sole concern is the next season, Blue was open about his goal of an NFL career.

“After this year, the plan is to be abandoned,” Blue declared. “We’ll see how the year goes, but hopefully at the end of this year, I’ll be gone.”

Jaydon Blue, a running back for the Texas Longhorns, wasn’t afraid to share his ultimate goals of joining the NFL by the start of the following season.

“After this year, the plan is going to disappear.”
The phrase “hopefully I’ll be gone after this year” may raise some questions when taken out of context, therefore Texas supporters should exercise caution when interpreting these remarks. However, Texas running backs have established an NFL-caliber standard in Austin under head coach Tashard Choice, so it seems sense that Blue wants to be the next in line.

This season, Blue and Baxter are projected to be a formidable duo, but if last year’s finale is any guide, Blue may establish himself as the lead back.

On the depth chart, he was the third running back.
