AUSTIN: Professional and collegiate athletes frequently emphasize the importance of staying in the moment and not getting ahead of oneself, but Texas Longhorns running back Jaydon Blue is demonstrating that he is intellectually developed enough to strike a balance between the past, present, and future.

During his media appearance on Thursday, Blue was questioned about if the 2024 campaign will be his “contract year”. While most players would ignore the topic and insist that their sole concern is the next season, Blue was open about his goal of an NFL career.

“After this year, the plan is to be abandoned,” Blue declared. “We’ll see how the year goes, but hopefully at the end of this year, I’ll be gone.”
