José Orlando Cocah Riveiro explains his leving imedatry duto…

Orlando Pirates look like one of the best teams in the DStv Premiership again. Coach Jose Riveiro has duly

applauded his players.

Riveiro: It's not as easy as we think | KickOff

The way the squad competed tonight [Saturday night] impressed me more than surprised me. Not only did we play excellent football, but we also played with emotion. The atmosphere today was amazing, and they performed for the fans,” Riveiro said in closing.

ZAKHELE IS GOING AWAY?
The administration of the Orlando Pirates and a few well-known players must make some important contract decisions. On the list is Zakhele Lepasa. Some supporters might be taken aback by this. When his contract expires in June 2024, the Soweto-born striker may decide to quit the Sea Robbers.

Lepasa made an impression while on loan at TS Galaxy and returned to Orlando Pirates five years ago. The Soweto native, 27, rose through the ranks of the club’s youth division before spending time on loan at the Rockets and Stellenbosch FC. Lepasa has since made appearances with the Bucs’ first squad.

Relebohile Mofokeng, who is staying with the Buccaneers, recently talked about his life outside of the game.

Even though Mofokeng has only made 28 appearances with only three goals and four assists, it is entertaining to watch the 19-year-old overcome defenders. Even the supporters of the Kaizer Chiefs acknowledge his brilliance. Last week, Mofokeng was questioned by top reporter Velile Mnyandu of iDiskiTimes on how he avoids societal pressure.

The Sharpville, Gauteng native and Orlando Pirates star explained that he is just a homeboy who is afraid of the streets. “I was scared to play in the streets because I grew up in an area where people used to kill each other,” Mofokeng stated. And I guess I’m afraid of people now that I’m somewhat renowned,” the assailant said.
