SAD NEWS: Leeds United striker is out of the season about…

A pair of Leeds United kids sparkle as they prepare for a big date. They share a five-star goals offering.

In the under-18s Premier League North on Saturday afternoon, United’s under-18s went to Blackburn Rovers’ under-18s and overcame a 2-0 deficit to win 4-2, with Devon Brockie scoring a brace.

Joe Boggan scored twice for the home team, putting Leeds behind 2-0 in just 39 minutes; however, two minutes prior to halftime, Brockie gave the young Whites a response goal. Seven minutes later, Brockie’s second goal of the match tied the score for United thanks to the first of two assists from Josh McDonald.

Three minutes later, McDonald, a 17-year-old winger for the Scotland minor team, opened his account by giving Leeds the lead after an assist from Louie Dudley. Then, in the 76th minute, McDonald scored his third goal of the game and set up a goal for Harvey Vincent to make it 4-2 and United’s fourth and final goal.

Leeds, who are currently sixth in the 13-team division and have games in hand on several of the teams above them, won the league for the third time in a row with this victory. The Whites’ young players have a momentous event coming up next month when they play the under-18 team of Manchester City in the FA Youth Cup final. The match takes place on Friday, May 10 in the evening at City’s Etihad Stadium. If Leeds wins their remaining match against Wolves, they would move up to fourth place in the division, 16 points clear of second-place City.
