Eddie Nketiah is free to depart in the summer, according to the club, thus Mikel Arteta will need to find a successor.

As previously reported, Viktor Gyokeres, Ollie Watkins, Alexander Isak, and Benjamin Sesko are among the players that Arsenal has already narrowed down their list of targets for the summer transfer season.

But according to a recent source, Mikel Arteta’s team is planning to give a move for Gimenez top priority. Gimenez is a big target for Tottenham, their rivals in North London.

According to the article, Gimenez and his group will shortly begin negotiations over a possible summer exit.

Gimenez could be sold by Feyenoord for the appropriate amount. It was claimed in December that they had placed a £60 million price tag on him, so the Gunners won’t be adding him for nothing.

As previously indicated, if Nketiah departs as anticipated, Arteta will need to find a successor, but he also wants more competition for Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus.

Together, the two have only scored 13 goals in the Premier League this season. Arsenal might win the title or not depending on whether they had a goal machine on staff similar to Erling Haaland.

Gimenez might be a great acquisition to the Gunners, no doubt about it. The Premier League would undoubtedly be a significant step up for him, but for now, nothing seems to phase him.
