It’s another matter entirely whether Stearns feels comfortable giving these players money, although he did make a hint about possible additions.

“And obviously, we’re in one of these that is going strong through spring training, and there are a lot of players available, most likely for a variety of reasons. Asked about the status of this year’s free agency process, he replied, “There are still conversations going around the industry and I expect that to continue,” according to Ben Krimmel of SNY.
