Sports Pundits Fury Over Caitlin Clark’s Alleged Olympic Snub…

The reactions to news that No. 1 WNBA draft choice and NCAA all-time scoring leader Caitlin Clark is likely not on Team USA’s squad for the Paris Olympics is mostly drawing outrage from fans and pundits.

The popular Indiana Fever rookie is apparently not going to be on the team, according to several reports.

She has an outside shot if someone gets hurt between now and the start of the games.

Clark will have played consecutive collegiate and professional seasons by the time of the games, according to a few lone contrarians, and he could use a break. The majority, however, bemoaned the fact that the WNBA’s main draw will not be must-see TV at the games.

However, Caitlin Clark has not been chosen for the USA Women’s Basketball team that will compete in the Olympics in Paris? She just packs arenas, makes the game bigger, and sets rookie records. It was such a rash choice.

The Washington Mystics’ home game against the Indiana Fever and Caitlin Clark was shifted to the 20,356-seat Capital One arena from their usual 4,200-seat venue.

Unfortunately, Caitlin Clark was not chosen for the USA Women’s Olympic Basketball Team.

Who gains from having her on the team? – The expansion of the sport – The partners in broadcasting – The other women on the team through greater exposure

The reasons Caitlin Clark’s exclusion from the US Olympic women’s basketball squad in 2024 is so important.

Since 1984, I have written about the team at every Olympics.

Every time, I’ve observed the startling lack of attention and coverage. I covered this exact subject in four pieces of my column in February.
