2024 Big Ten Champion wrestler Braeden Davis was charged on Monday for an incident at Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity on March 29.

Davis, 20, faces second-degree misdemeanors for resisting arrest and evading arrest on foot, a third-degree misdemeanor for defiant trespass after being told to leave and summary offenses for underage alcohol possession and public drunkenness.

Davis was asked to leave Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) fraternity several times by both residents and security but refused to leave, according to court documents. The police were called for criminal trespass.

When police asked for identification, Davis allegedly fled on foot. According to court documents, Davis physically fought the police officer once caught and damaged some of his equipment.

Davis was allegedly visibly intoxicated when detained by police and was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center for alcohol overdose via ambulance. Medical records cited in court documents state Davis had a blood alcohol level of .225 percent.

Davis started out as a 125-pounder in his freshman season and was successful. He went 22-4 with five majors and five techs, winning the Big Ten Championship.

In his sophomore season he bumped up to 133 and had an up and down season. He finished the season 12-5 and finished fifth at the NCAA national championships, becoming an All-American.

โ€œWe are aware of the charges against Braedan Davis,โ€ a spokesperson for Penn State Athletics said in an email. โ€œThese alleged actions do not reflect the values and standards of our program and will be addressed.โ€
