While Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid might get most of the newspaper headlines, it might be McDavid’s wife Lauren Kyle who grabs all of the attention online thanks to his cooking.
Kyle took to Instagram to share her culinary recipes with her followers on August 28, two weeks after the couple released unseen pictures of their wedding on Vogue.
McDavid’s wife is known for posting about memorable moments with his husband, her yoga routines, and a few travel stories, but this jar-recipe idea is surely a new thing we can now add to Kyle’s resume.
Kyle shared three different recipes on his IG story, including “Big Mac Chop Chop Salad,” “Cilantro Lime Fresca,” and “Big Mac Chop Salad.”
The first recipe Kyle shared (not captured in the image above) was for Chopped Thai Salad Cups, which feature a mix of shredded carrots, shredded purple and green cabbage, chopped cucumbers, white basmati rice, chopped cilantro, and edamame. The dressing for this salad is a blend of smooth peanut butter, rice vinegar, soy sauce, lime juice, garlic, sesame oil, minced ginger, agave, and seasoning, blended until smooth.
Next up was the Cilantro Lime Fresca Jars. This salad includes shredded carrots, shredded green cabbage, brown rice, grilled corn, sweet potato, and green onion. The dressing is made by blending plain Greek yogurt, cilantro, lime juice, agave, garlic, and lemon-infused olive oil.
The final recipe Lauren Kyle shared was the Big Mac Chop Chop Salad Jars. This hearty salad includes ground turkey cooked with cumin, chopped tomato, red onion, chopped pickle, chopped iceberg lettuce, and sesame seeds. The dressing combines Greek yogurt, ketchup, sweet pickle relish, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, sriracha, and salt.
Kyle, an interior designer, and McDavid have been together since 2015 and recently got married in July 2024.
